Born with a motor neuron impairment, Helton Josue Teodoro Muniz had to persevere his entire childhood to overcome it and by the time we was a teenager, he learned to walk …. remarkable! Well that should tell you something about his fortitude, and did you hear about his passion? a fruit collector. He has a personal garden in  Campina do Monte Alegre (Sao Paulo, Brazil), it has over 1,300 plants in an over six hectare area. He accomplished all this and to think it is still difficult for him to even hold a seed.

But a childhood discovery of a fruit he had never heard of had inadvertently started him on a journey which led to his Rare Fruit Farm. Today he is an internationally renowned fruit expert and author.
